While there are currently no scheduled events at this time, the Brendon's Smile Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness among our community and around the world. 

 

I am currently preparing a lesson plan, in collaboration with pediatric stroke expert Dr. Kristin Guilliams from the Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Developmental Neurology, for First Responders that will be implemented around the St. Louis community beginning in August.  It is my goal to share this on a global level in the months to come.

Remember the target audience for raising awareness are those who wouldn't already know that strokes do, can and will happen in pediatrics.  The more you share these links and information the more you will make an impact for all children! 

 

These words: "babies, even the unborn, and children have strokes" should never be heard for the very first time by a parent when receiving the diagnosis for his or her own child.
